The Hand-Held Down Load Unit (HHDLU) is used to check ARINC-573/717 input data stream aboard aircraft and provide high speed data transfer from SSFDR memory to a PCMCIA card. Off-airplane analysis uses a PC with software 998-1520-505 and software 998-1556-503 or ATU 964-0434-001 which includes both software P/N’s above. Note: Older 964-0446-001 units can be upgraded to a “Mod 1” by a software change. Mod 1 allows 256 word/sec data rates.
